Blossom and Thrive
I have been on the journey of nervous system regulation most of my life. I’ve always had to navigate anxiety and found the world to be very over stimulating, noisy and dis-regulating. My massage/bodywork training and becoming a Kundalini Yoga teacher really helped me to start the process of coming back to my body, and taught me many tools for regulating my nervous system and building capacity. However, over the years I found the more I allowed myself to feel, the more I felt!! The more sensitive I was becoming and the more overwhelming the world became. I realised I had been living in functional freeze and now that I was creating safety for myself, I was unthawing and feeling!
In 2021 I did Irene Lyons program ‘Smart Body Smart Mind’ A 12 week nervous system rewiring program, which was incredible! Although it took me over a year to complete as there was so much to learn about my bodies responses and then to actually be able to put the practices into practice in an embodied way.
Through my Shamanic Ceremonial work I started to work more deeply with trauma and so I trained as a Trauma Informed Facilitator, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy and Somatic Preparation and Integration Specialist. From my own healing I was aware just how important nervous system regulation was and for that to happen I needed to understand my survival, stress responses and be resourced and have the tools I needed to build capacity and resilience. I started bringing what I’d learnt into my Shamanic healing and found it really took the sessions to the next level. I wanted to be able to support my clients in way that meant the self work they were doing would be integrated and embodied, so they could bring lasting change to their lives. And so my Blossom and Thrive programme came into being….
Nervous system regulation is the process of bringing the body back into a state of balance, allowing us to respond to stress, emotions, and life’s challenges with greater ease. Our nervous system—especially the autonomic nervous system (ANS)—plays a key role in how we experience safety, connection, and threat. When dysregulated, we may feel anxious, shut down, or stuck in cycles of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn responses. By learning to regulate our nervous system, we can shift from survival mode into a state of calm, connection, and emotional flexibility. This helps us build resilience, process emotions more effectively, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being.
Regulating the nervous system isn’t about suppressing emotions but about expanding our capacity to experience life with greater stability and ease. With practice, we can move out of chronic stress patterns and into a more balanced, grounded, and connected way of being.
This programme is a rich resource of information. We will begin the process of fine tuning your intentional prayer, this is a vital piece in the healing journey. Tuning into your ‘Why’, helps bring focus and direction. It helps us see where we are now and where we desire to be. There’s lots of tools and practices to help regulate the nervous system, build capacity and resilience; build your resources, neurosensory exercises, tools to get to know what you're carrying and build a library of practices that will support your healing journey. I’ve included audios and videos to support the embodiment on these tools.
Blossom and Thrive can be used on its own as a tool to learn more about nervous system regulation and it can also be used alongside 1-1 sessions with myself, where it will teach you the foundations and then together we can go deeper into Somatic Therapy and Shamanic Healing to get to the root cause of disharmony within your body and life.
If you are attending a ceremony or deep initiation, the programme will also support you in preparing for such an experience and for helping to integrate the experience.
